 Day 1    El Paso - Chihuahua

Begin your journey upon you are picked up by our representative at your hotel or airport in El Paso, then you will be transferred by van to Juarez City bus station where you will take the first bus departing to Chihuahua City (buses leaves every 30 minutes-tickets included). You enter México at Juárez and travel south through Chihuahua, the largest and one of the richest states in México. Upon arriving Chihuahua City you will be met at the bus station and transferred to your hotel.

If time permitting you can take a city tour (not included-see additional cost) visiting Pancho Villa’s home (closed on Mondays), the Cathedral, the Spanish aqueduct, murals at the State Capitol and residential districts.


 Day 2    Chihuahua – Divisadero/Posada Barrancas 
Early this morning at 5:15 am you will be transferred to the train station to board the Ferromex first class coche for your through the rugged terrain across Mexico´s Sierra Madre Mountains to Copper Canyon. The train leaves at 6:00 am and arrives for Divisadero/Posada Barrancas at 1:30 pm approximately. Upon arriving, transfer to your hotel.
This afternoon explore the mountain and canyons where the mystic Tarahumara Indians live in crude log cabins and caves. This afternoon enjoy a walking tour on your own and get impressed by the views of the Canyon and the beautiful Tarahumara sunset.

 Day 3    Divisadero/Posada Barrancas– El Fuerte   
Use your free time this morning to shop with the Tarahumara Indians who sell their handicrafts near the hotel or join a guided walking tour offered by the hotel in courtesy to all its guests. Then after lunch, transfer to the train station to board the train to the colonial town of El Fuerte. Enjoy the best part of the rail journey. Spectacular views through the trip, crossing several bridges and tuneles that makes the trip a real adventure!
Upon arriving to El Fuerte at 8:00 pm approximately, transfer to your hotel.

Day 4     El Fuerte
Day at leisure to explore this beautiful colonial town. Visit on your own the main Plaza, the local church, the Municipal Palace, the market and El Fuerte river that crosses the town.

 Day 5     El Fuerte – Cerocahui  
This morning transfer to the train station. The train leaves at 8:30 am approximately. Admire the beautiful scenery on the return trip. The train winds and bores its way through tunnels of the Tarahumara range of the Western Sierra Madre. Arrive Bahuichivo station at 1:00 pm approximately and 45 minutes transfer to Cerocahui. Free afternoon for walking tours on your own.

 Day 6     Cerocahui – Creel   (BL)
This morning you will enjoy a tour called Gallegos Urique Lookout. It is the most sweeping view of the Copper Canyon system readily available to tourists. Start at the 7500 ft. elevation overlook of the deepest canyon, Urique Canyon, and of the mining town of Urique. Interesting stops at old Tarahumara church, a cave home, a rancho and the Virgencita spring. 22 miles round trip. 3 ½ hours. Transfer back to the hotel for an early lunch and then transfer to the train station to reboard the train to Creel. Upon arriving at 4:00 pm approximately transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure!

 Day 7     Creel – Chihuahua
 This morning Private Transfer to Chihuahua City. In our way, we will take you you to a tour around Creel, visiting a Tarahumara Cave, the Arareko Lake, the old San Ignacio Mission (a Tarahumara church), and the Mushrooms and Frogs Valley (rock formations). Then departure for a visit to the Mennonite Community where we will enjoy a traditional meal and the local museum (closed on mondays). On to Chihuahua for an overnight.

 Day 8     Creel – Chihuahua
This morning transfer to the bus station. Upon arriving Juarez City bus station (four hours later approx.), you will be met by our representative and transferred to the El Paso airport or any downtown hotel. End of our services.
