It is the most sweeping view of the Copper Canyon system readily available to tourists. Start at the 7500 ft. elevation overlook of the deepest canyon, Urique Canyon, and of the mining town of Urique. Interesting stops at old Tarahumara church, a cave home, a rancho and the Virgencita spring. 22 miles round trip. 3 ½ hours. A must!

We highly recommend taking a private transportation this morning back to Chihuahua City; this way you will avoid getting late on the train and enjoy on the way an included guided tour of Creel; visiting the Arareco Lake, the Mushroom Valley, the old Mission, a Tarahumara cave, among others. Batopilas "Bottom of the Canyon"

From Creel you travel to the bottom of the canyon along a narrow dirt road that winds its way past Indian villages and spectacular scenery to the remote pueblo of Batopilas. You will spend two nights at Hotel Real de Minas or similar. You will be able to hike to the"Lost Cathedral" and explore the many sites of this unique little mining town, where time seems to have stopped at the turn of the 19th century.
On your way out you re-board the train or take your private transfer at Creel to continue your Mexico Adventure.
